Parking & Directions

Namaskar Yoga studio is on the north side of Chicago in the Lakeview neighborhood. Our storefront location is located at 3946 N. Southport, 2 blocks west of Clark St and just south of Irving Pk Rd. Under normal circumstances, parking around the studio is not a problem. We recommend allowing extra time if you are new to the studio and/or area.

Please note: we are located not far from Wrigley Field. When there are Cubs games, parking restrictions increase.  Parking and driving can become more challenging.

PARKING
On Southport: Metered parking is available on Southport directly in front of the studio: Mon-Sat 8am-10pm, 3hr max @ 2.50/hr – Sunday is free all day. North and south of our location on Southport, parking is free.

On Irving Park: Metered parking is available on Irving Pk: Mon-Sat 8am-10pm, 3hr max @ 2.50/hr – Sunday is free all day.

On side streets: Many side street have free parking^*. Give yourself some extra time and finding something should not be a problem under normal circumstances.

During Cubs Games: ^*Side-street parking is limited to residents only during NIGHT games after 5pm (day games are open to all but spots gets snatched quickly…) We recommend finding alternative travel to the studio or leaving amply time to find parking. BUSES

• Clark #22: Descend at Irving Pk. Walk west 1½ blocks to Southport. Turn left.
• Ashland #9: Descend at Southport & Irving Pk. Walk south on Southport.
• Irving Pk #80: Descend at Southport & Irving Pk. Walk south on Southport.

TRAINS

• Brown line L Train: Descend at Southport. Walk north approx. 7 blocks.
• Red Line L Train: Descend at Sheridan.
  • Take Irving Pk bus #80. Descend at Southport. Walk south.
  • Or walk west on Irving Pk for approx. ¼ mile. Turn left on Southport.

EXPRESSWAY

• I90/94: Exit at Irving Pk. Go east. Turn south on Southport.
• Lakeshore Drive: Exit at Irving Pk. GO west. Turn south) on Southport.
